Unpackaging the files

XML4C2 comes packaged as a ZIP file for Windows NT and 95/98 and as a compressed tar (tar.Z) file for AIX and Solaris. You will need to unzip the Windows distribution into a directory using either unzip or pkzip or a GUI utility like winzip. The UNIX distributions should first be uncompressed (using the standard uncompress command). Then run tar -xvf on the resulting .tar file to extract the files.
