Accounts on the DCS faculty
and research
machines should be requested by the
faculty member responsible for the loginable account on which the new
user will be put.
Information to include in the request should include:
The cluster to which the new user should be added (ie,
ringmaster,
the faculty administrative cluster,
or
research,
the research cluster)
otherwise, please
ask them to provide some personal information via
our secure web form
so they can be added to the directory.
Please do not send personal information such as Social Security
numbers through email.
The loginable account on the
faculty
or
research
to which they should be added.
(This is one of the groups listed in
/etc/group
on the YP master; that is,
aramis
or
research.
Loginable groups are numbered below 100 and above 11000.)
The message requesting the new account should be sent to
help@cs.rutgers.edu.
