aramis no longer relays mail from outside Rutgers
To prevent Rutgers machines from being used for delivery of
Unsolicited Commercial Email (more commonly known as Spam), mail
servers at Rutgers are now being configured to refuse to relay
messages neither originating nor destined for Rutgers hosts.
If you have been using a Rutgers mail server to relay your outgoing
mail from a home PC connected through a local ISP (that is, not dialed
into Rutgers),
Chuck Hedrick's
Configuring PC's for Email at Rutgers
describes how to set things up.
