Mounting directories from the NetApp
Mounting directories from the NetApp
If you have an account in the LCSR Windows domain (eg, one used
previously to mount Unix files on a PC through SAMBA), you can now
mount your home directory from the faculty, research, or grad cluster
on your Windows 2000 machine directly from the NetApp.
To do this:
- Right click on
"My Network Places"
on your desktop and select
"Map Network Drive..."
- For
"Folder:"
specify
"\\koko.rutgers.edu\cluster\users\username"
(where
cluster
is one of
fac, grad, or res,
and
username
is your own username),
then click on
"Connect using different username."
- For
"User name:"
specify
"LCSR\username"
(where
username
is again your own username),
for
"Password:"
give your LCSR Windows domain password, and click
[OK].
- Finally, click
[Finish].
A window should then appear containing your directory.
If you need access to another directory on the NetApp, contact
watrous@cs to make special arrangements.
