Virus filtering on dragon

The dedicated mail server for DCIS, dragon.rutgers.edu, now filters attachments of many types. In general, you should not send attachments with these types of enclosure because most current antivirus software will regard them as dangerous.

If you do need to send such files through email, it would be better to zip (and rename the file so it will not be auto-executable) or tar the files before sending them.

If you believe you are having problems with mail filtering on dragon, please send email to help@cs.rutgers.edu.
